Blurred Boundaries

Situated close to the beach, this family villa takes advantage of its natural surroundings by encouraging light through large openings, providing a seamless transition from outside to within. Double height living areas and majlis lead out onto open terraces, simple floor to ceiling glazing magnifying this effect.

Rich materials of marble and teak wood are used alongside stone in the interior, complementing the architectural features. Elaborate detail is created in a wooden ceiling with lighted motif: a focal point in the entrance hall. Full glazing in windows ensures an uninterrupted view, while areas of solid wall and copper-finished screens contrast the transparency, providing privacy.

The idea of integration between exterior and interior is further enhanced by a water feature, which runs through the house, separating the private majlis from public areas.
